I grew up on Clearwater Lake near Annandale, Minnesota where I spent more days on the water than off with
my dad. There he taught me to catch pike on weed edges with homemade lures. He also taught me to catch crappies and sunfish
until I couldn't catch anymore. Not to forget, he also taught me how to dry out my boots after stepping in the ice fishing
hole.
I currently run a 21 foot Skeeter walleye boat with a 250 horsepower Yamaha 4 stroke. An 8 horsepower Yamaha
4 stroke kicker is used for trolling and boat control. The boat has a full walk thru windshield for those cold
rainy days. For electronics, I run all Lowrance electronics, including a flasher and an X-110 with GPS on the console,
and an X-25 with GPS on the bow. Also included are a Marine radio and AM/FM CD radio. A MinnKota Autopilot bowmount pulls
the boat around. Rods used are various Fenwick and Berkley models coupled with Abu-Garcia baitcasters and spinning reels.
During each trip, I try to educate clients on the proper usage of each of these important fish catching tools.
